아시아 최초의 국립극장인 국립극장은 창설 70주년을 맞아 지난 성과를 반추하고, 미래의 새로운 창작 가능성을 모색하는 학술행사를 기획했습니다.
동시대 아시아 문화예술의 역동성을 간직한 국립극장의 움직임을 하나의 거대한 '파동'으로 해석했습니다. 학술행사를 통해 울려 퍼지는 수많은 담론을 여러 매질이 그리는 위상의 출발점이자 음파들의 교점으로 정의하고, 이들이 만나 기록되고 공유되는 장을 '소리-음파의 만남'이라는 시각 언어로 형상화했습니다.

To mark its 70th anniversary, the National Theater of Korea—the first of its kind in Asia—organized an academic symposium to reflect on seven decades of achievement and explore new creative possibilities for the future.
I interpreted the dynamic movement of the National Theater, which embodies contemporary Asian culture and arts, as a singular, grand 'wave.' By defining the numerous discourses echoing through the symposium as both the starting point of phases drawn by various media and the intersection of sound waves, I visualized the gathering of diverse cultural and artistic voices as an 'Encounter of Sound-Waves.'
