《TIMELESS CRAFT: 보존과 재현의 현장》을 위한 디자인을 했습니다.
‘보존’과 ‘재현’은 모두 과거의 형상을 현재에 다시 드러내는 일입니다. 병풍과 불번에 등장하는 형상을 추출하고 중첩하여 서로 다른 시대와 재료를 가진 두 유물이 하나의 장면 안에서 공존하는 풍경을 만들었습니다. 일부 획이 생략되거나 이어지는 타이포그래피를 통해 복원 과정에서 발견되는 결손과 보완의 관계를 시각화했습니다.
The visual identity for TIMELESS CRAFT: Inside the Conservation Lab & Open Storage explores preservation and reconstruction as acts of bringing forms from the past into the present. Forms drawn from a folding screen and a Buddhist ritual banner were extracted and layered to create a landscape in which two artifacts from different periods and materials coexist within a single scene. The typography, with strokes omitted or connected, reflects the relationship between loss and restoration found in the conservation process.
